🔍 So, what are you waiting for?

It’s been almost two years since the launch of ChatGPT, a pivotal moment in the rise of generative AI. Though the initial novelty has worn off, the utility of AI continues to grow. In fact, two out of three B2B marketing leaders are now leveraging AI for their marketing activities.

For marketers, getting used to AI tools is now super important. Professionals globally are diving into expert-led courses like “What Is Generative AI?” and “Prompt Engineering: How to Talk to the AIs” to boost their skills. Do you agree that this is a smart move? Since AI literacy is becoming a major differentiator in the talent market. According to Microsoft and LinkedIn’s 2024 Work Trend Index, more than two-thirds (71%) of leaders would prefer hiring a less experienced candidate with AI skills over a more experienced one lacking them. Shocking, or not?

The data from LinkedIn’s Global Marketing Jobs Outlook highlights where marketers are focusing their AI skill development. By using generative AI (GAI), marketers are becoming more efficient and creative in their roles. Whether it’s for generating innovative content, conducting thorough research, or analysing market trends, AI tools are proving to be invaluable assets.

When it comes to a big part in social media marketing, scheduling, timing can be everything. However, there are no universal best times to post for every brand. Each audience is unique, and their behaviours and interests vary. This means that you can take guides like this with a pinch of salt as YOUR audience is your own and can greatly differ from the majority, which is why experimenting with scheduling is great!

Sprout Social’s latest data provides insights into the best times to post on various platforms:

  • Facebook: Weekdays between 9am and midday. Avoid Sundays.
  • Instagram: Weekdays between 9am and 2pm. Less engagement on Fridays and weekends.
  • LinkedIn: Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 12pm.
  • Pinterest: Tuesdays to Fridays at 1am.
  • TikTok: Weekday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm.
  • X: Weekdays between 9am and 3pm.

Understanding these trends can help you refine your posting strategy to engage your audience better.

Instagram’s algorithm is evolving. According to Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri, share rates are now a key driver of reach. More important than watch time, likes, and comments, the rate at which people share your posts determines their reach. This shift reflects Instagram’s focus on fostering connections through shared content.

For marketers, this means creating shareable content is more crucial than ever. While likes and comments still matter, the real power lies in how often your audience shares your posts with others.

Think about how often you have scrolled through our Instagram feed and never noticed posts until you view stories? That is how your content may be being lost, so it’s important to not only encourage your followers to share your content, but give them a reason to.

Is your image visually pleasing? Is it relatable? If not, is it informative? Or funny? Oh, and don’t forget your copy—especially the hooks—as that is what people will see if the person sharing your content expands the post.

TikTok has launched TikTok Studio, a new dashboard for creators to manage their presence on the platform. This updated version of the platform’s ‘Creator Center’ allows creators to handle video uploads, editing, performance analytics, and more, all from one place.

TikTok Studio offers tools like auto-captions, photo editors, and autocut, making content creation more efficient and polished. Additionally, it emphasises monetisation tools, consolidating growth opportunities and personalised recommendations for creators. With these streamlined tools, creators can focus on what they do best: making engaging content.

Would you find this helpful as a TikTok creator? Or is your current strategy working for you?
