From NFTs and Twitter groups to IG Grid updates and TikTok Creator changes… here at Brandlective, we are excited to be supporting our clients with these latest announcements from all of our favourite marketing channels.

Instagram’s Testing a New Option Which Would Enable Users to Re-Arrange the Post Display on their Profile:

A win for marketers everywhere! This will make it far easier to rearrange posts to make sure that your brand’s IG grid aesthetic is maintained (no matter who posts that extra pesky post that wasn’t carefully planned).

Hooray for an editable grid on Instagram!

Pinterest looks to improve creator discovery with the addition of a new ‘Profiles’ tab within Pin search

Pinterest users will now be able to find the top creators for each subject; improving exposure, and building up their online presence. Pinterest initially announced the new ‘Profiles’ tab back in October 2021, but it’s now being made available to more users globally, expanding discovery potential in the app. Like all platforms, Pinterest is working to retain its top creative talent and keep its most popular users posting more often, maximizing user interest.

Twitter’s Coming NFT Profile Display Option Moves to Next Stage of Testing:

The NFT profile image will be displayed in a new, hexagonal format, and provide a direct link to the NFTs listing on a blockchain as proof of ownership. The question is, will this other form of proof of ownership make NFTs even more sought after? We shall see!

Twitter Publishes 2022 Major Events Calendar to Assist with Your Marketing Plans

It’s a great resource, worth bookmarking for your planning – and even if things do change, it’s still good to know what’s scheduled to be coming up to better map out your strategy. Including regional events calendars for Germany, India, Japan, MENA, Mexico, SEA, Spain, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, and the UK.

TikTok Shares Data on the Value of Collaborating with Creators on Ad Campaigns and is developing new, opt-in way to show who viewed your profile

We aren’t too sure what value this new feature might add (we’re calling it an expert-level ‘stalking’ feature) but maybe it could be useful for aspiring influencers who are looking to network with new collaborators, but other than that, this feature may not be useful – especially because the average person using TikTok is unlikely to opt-in.

Twitter Tests New Options to make smaller, more private groups

Twitter is currently testing two new ‘Spaces’ that will enable hosts to limit access to either those people that they specifically invited or to ‘tweeps’ only (followers).

This will give the option for more intimate chats among friends, or help build community by holding more private discussions among your audience. This could also have a great value for brands, with the option to host exclusive audio chat sessions for super fans, or to provide a followers-only exclusive into new updates. It also allows you to potentially create new groups for specific events (paid or free). Additionally, this could be a great growth tactic, playing into the ‘Fear Of Missing Out’ among followers, motivating people to make sure they are included in the next exclusive ‘Space’.
